Occasionally
Apple Storage must dispose of property in order to pay for past due rents.
When this occurs, Apple Storage follows the requirements of the law to
protect each tenant's rights. Lien sales are usually conducted at 9am
on a Saturday morning. The exact dates will be published in the Appleton
Post Crescent or other paper of record including a brief description of
the goods to be sold. We will also post lien sale information here however,
the Post crescent is the official notice.
If you would like
to receive e-mail notice of upcoming lien sales, please send us a e-mail
with the words "lien sale list" in the subject. We will attempt
to send you a timely notice of the sale(s).
We conduct a lien
sale as follows:
- 15 minutes before
the sale the gate is opened and units to be sold are open for inspection.
During inspection Buyers must take care to not damage anything in a
unit.
- We will pick a
unit to be sold first. We reserve the right to establish a minimum bid
on any unit.
- If you bid on
the unit, you will receive from us a slip of paper with a number on
it. You write your bid on the paper and hand it to us. The highest bid
wins. We do not disclose the bid amounts to anyone.
- You will pay us
the amount of the bid and a $75 cleaning deposit. The unit must be totally
empty and broom clean by midnight the next day (usually a Sunday). We
do not provide dumpsters or any assistance so, you must move everything
off site yourself. If you have complied with these terms you will receive
your $75 deposit within a week after the unit is empty.
- If you need more
time, you may sign a standard lease for a period of time agreed by us.
Usually it will be to the end of the current month.
